I believe great engineering leadership sits at the intersection of solid architecture and strong people. Systems don't scale without the right technical foundations, and teams don't scale without trust, clarity, and room to grow — I try to build both at the same time.
Over the past year leading a 15-engineer team across customer-facing and B2B systems, I've put that philosophy into practice: modernizing legacy PHP monoliths into scalable React + Golang architectures, building event-driven infrastructure with Confluent Kafka for real-time payment processing, and turning a 1-hour lead upload process into one that finishes in under a minute.
But the numbers only tell half the story — equally important has been building the guardrails that let a team move fast without breaking things: standardized engineering guidelines, clear versioning practices, and a security-first mindset that helped us achieve ISO 27001 certification and close out critical pentest vulnerabilities before they became real risks.
